A convincing win for Valley, who visit bottom of the table Causeway Bay Rams on Saturday, will put them one step closer to securing the 1st Division title this season. Although the Rams have shown considerable improvement recently, the idea of them troubling Valley is unworthy of discussion. The reverse fixture earlier in the season saw 98 unanswered points scored; we may not see that margin of defeat, but we predict one-way traffic.

The tie of the weekend is undoubtedly Club’s visit to DeA Tigers. A win for Tigers would see them draw level with, or leap-frog Club, with the intriguing situation of both teams having to face Valley on consecutive weekends to secure 2nd place. Whatever happens and in whichever order they finish they will then have to face off once again on 3oth January in the Grand Championship Semi-Finals.
Of course Valley could implode and be turned over be Tigers and Club, but we think that highly unlikely and a win over the Rams this weekend means they cannot finish lower than second.
Lower down Cricket Club and Kowloon play this weekend, in what may well prove to be a crucial fixture. Both teams are vying for the fourth spot and a place in the semi-finals and as both teams face the Rams and higher placed opposition in their final two fixtures, this could be the game that really counts.
It’s Valley for us all the way, but there’s still some fascinating battles going on nevertheless.
